Homeless Don found his way home.

Pray for my new friend Don. I would probably be homeless too if I went through what he went through.

Don was a chef, restaurant owner, married to his wonderful wife who was a child psychologist, and had a good life, until tragedy struck their family. Their 9 yr old baby girl was brutally raped and later died of anorexia at age 12. Don’s dad died the same year and his wonderful wife died 2 years later of a brain tumor. Don, a former Bible college student, lost faith became disillusioned with God, became bitter & angry at God, depressed, and ultimately homeless over 1,000 miles away from home.

Many years ago he left the place the place of pain where everything reminded him of his his daughter, his wife, and his dad.

I met Ron today on an totally unintended stop. He was hungry and hopeless, but feeling the need to go back home. He was emotionally broken, depressed, and disillusioned because he could not find a church who was willing to get him a bus ticket. He had already hitch-hiked over a thousand miles and still had a 1,000 to go. I did not know his story until I was driving him to get a bus ticket. I was able to tell him to thank Jesus for taking care of his needs today. Thank you to the faithful partners of The Well Ministries!!! Because of you we were able to give this man a bus ticket home, food for his journey, and HOPE that God loves him!!! You should have seen his face when he had a bus ticket in his hand, a sleeping bag, and food for the trip! I don’t think I have ever seen a smile that big!
