We need others!
We learn this new way of life, together with others who are pursuing the same pathway. Some are further down this path than you are and some are newer on this path than you are. We get to help each other along this path – it is called community. We learn from those who are further down the path and we help others up on to this path. We have learned from everyone, parents, coaches, teachers, community leaders, family members, and friends. We need others in our spiritual growth process as well.
Our textbook?
The Bible, God’s Word. The Bible is the record of God working with this world and it is also God’s revelation to us personally. It is still sits in the non-fiction section of book stores and is the best selling book in the entire world every year for a reason.
How?
We simply meet in houses to open up the Bible and discuss what it says and see what kind of take-away we can glean for each week.
It is very practical and deeply spiritual – all at the same time.
