A Daily Covid-19 Prayer For Each of Us

By Uncategorized

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

Thank you, Father, that we can call you our Father who is always there to comfort us, encourage us, and lift us up when we fall. You are our wonderful Heavenly Dad, who does not condemn us, but helps us on the right path. We need your calm, peace filled reassurance during these enormously stressful times.

Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

We humble ourselves, acknowledge You alone are God, and declare Your Will being done is more important than our will being done. Please let your will be that this storm of a global pandemic be shutdown immediately. Please bring peace on earth like it is in Heaven. Please bring healing and wholeness on earth, like it is in Heaven. Please bring justice and provision on earth like it is in Heaven. Please keep our family  emotionally strong as the saints are in Heaven. Help us to align with You in every area of our life as those who are in Heaven are.  We humbly acknowledge, we need You and we need You to do what we clearly cannot do.

Give us this day our daily bread.

Father, I thank you for everything You provide for us. Please allow me to have what I need today to eat, pay our bills, provide for our families, and to have the health we need to serve You and our families. Give us the wisdom and the strength to work to honor you and eyes to see how you provide for us.

And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.

Father, please forgive me of my sins and all the ways I have not acknowledged my need of You in so many areas. Please forgive our nation for all the ways we have rejected You. Please forgive my unbelief, my community’s unbelief, and our nation’s unbelief.

I release all unforgiveness and bitterness toward any wrong anyone has ever done to me. I forgive them because I need Your forgiveness. Have mercy on me. Thank you for the blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross that I might be forgiven.

And do not lead us into temptation,

Father, there are sins that are so very easy for me to slip into. Please protect me from myself and my inclinations that would destroy me and devastate the relationships in my life. Protect me from self-will, mistreating others who need mercy, misusing my power, lust, greed, bitterness, unloving behavior, and all of the other ways where I dishonor You.

But deliver us from the evil one.

Father, the evil one is trying to destroy my life, my marriage, my children, my neighbors, and all of my relationships. Please protect me from the real unseen battle with the spiritual forces of darkness.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.

Father, please give power to the weak and those who are serving us during this horrible time. Those whom the world would many times look down on or take for granted. Please grant them health and strength and encouragement.

Please grant our leaders wisdom. Help them work together in a spirit of harmony and leaving politics aside. Grant grace and mercy, for we all need it ourselves.

Father, You are all powerful, all knowing, all present Holy God. You could stop this global pandemic immediately. Please do. We acknowledge You are God Almighty and we are not. Have mercy on each of our families, our community, our state, our nation and our world.

In the Great and Powerful name of Jesus,

Amen.

End of Year 2019 Report

By Uncategorized

Hey Loveland-Johnstown friends!  We hope God has blessed you through The Well this past year!

A church “plant” takes times to grow, like a bamboo tree.  The bamboo plant is watered for five years all the while developing deeper and deeper roots. Then at the right moment five years later, it grows 80 feet in 6 weeks!  It then is able to be a great blessing to many people through  shade, food, and material for people to build houses and furniture. As The Well grows we expect to be able to be a blessing to many more people!

828 GOSPEL SHOW THE LOVE!

We call it “Gospel Show the Love” where we show the love of Jesus to our community & neighbors by helping the hurting.

  • 60 Sleeping Bags & tarps for the homeless.
  • 3 Beds for families coming out of homelessness.
  • 12 Air mattresses for homeless families.
  • 5  MP3 players for homeless teens w/encouraging messages.

  • 5 Laptops for Foster kids education.
  • Lots of Groceries and gasoline for families in need
  • 500 Bibles to Homeless and low income families.

CHURCH PREVIEW SERVICES

  • Church in the Park.
  • Church in the Neighborhood.
  • Church at a local hotel.
  • Church at a local apartment complex.

THE RIPPLE EFFECT

  • Big Ripple #1: Our Toy Drive gifts were given to fellow church planter. He shared the message of Christ with 80 kids on the Navaho Reservation and gave them the gifts!

Big Ripple #2: We helped a missionary who ministers to persecuted Christians from Thailand, Shri Lanka, Malaysia. These dear people’s lives are threatened because they follow Jesus. We are so very glad to help them.

GOALS FOR 2020

  1. Secure a worship leader/team!
  2. Full children’s ministry team— for an expanded and more focused ministry
  3. Summer Kids Camps!
  4. Student ministry team—to expand our middle & high school ministry.
  5. Launch ongoing public gatherings in suitable location.
  6. Men’s Gatherings.
  7. Women’s Socials / Gatherings.
  8. Help 100 people learn how to study the Bible for themselves so they can know how to connect with God personally for them and their families.
  9. Continue our Key Family Fun Events!

Thank You!

All of this is possible because of your serving, your praying, and your giving. We are excited about what God is doing here in Loveland-Johnstown 25-34 area.  God is moving here. God invites us to join Him where He is working. Thank you for joining Him in this work of planting a new church called The Well with the mission to connect people to the hope and joy of Jesus!

“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 NLT

Our Story

Bill and Stephanie have been married for 19 years and have five awesome kids.

In his younger years, Bill would have been voted least likely to be a pastor. He grew up hunting, fishing, and working in his family’s tractor business. Later he pursued a career in technology and business. He spent his young adult years looking for fun and fulfillment through legendary parties and making money. To his complete surprise, Jesus changed his life at age 25 when a new Christ-following family moved into town and befriended the young adults in the community.   You can read about it here.

Stephanie is a gifted speaker and writer. She has spoken a numerous women’s conference and ladies events. You can listen to her speak here. Her articles have been published in different parenting magazines. She had an idyllic childhood in rural Arizona with many siblings and a menagerie of farm animals. She grew up in a Christian family, but with the mistaken belief that following Jesus was mostly about how to follow enough rules to make God happy. She made Christ her leader at an early age, but it took many years of growing in friendship with him before she understood that there is nothing we can do to make God love us any less, and no good we can do to make him love us any more. Understanding his complete forgiveness, total acceptance, and unconditional love revolutionized her life and freed her from fear, insecurity, and shame.

Bill and Stephanie married in 2000 and have five awesome kids. As a team, they have opened their hearts, home, and life to many spiritual seekers. Their goal together is to help people find freedom and fulfillment in a relationship with God.

Why Colorado?

We believe God led us here to this beautiful state and the wonderful city of Loveland! After visiting a few times, we genuinely fell in love with the life, the culture, and especially the people!  Everyone has a story. We look forward to hearing yours!

I am really excited about this Marriage series! Lives are being changed! Last Sunday I spoke on Lose Your Bags!  We all come into marriage with some baggage, (1) Family Ideas of how things should/should not be, (2) Fractured Emotions from all kinds of painful things, (3) Faith / Religious Background and how it may have trained us right or wrong, (4) False sense of Self-Worth, and (5) Failures in the past. Christ is the answer for all of these! You are Better Together when you overcome your lose your bad baggage!

THIS SUNDAY MORNING 10:30 at Comfort Suites

  • This Sunday we are continuing our Better Together Marriage Series and you will be greatly encouraged with what we will be talking about!!
  • So, please invite some friends to this fun series on Marriage! They may come to a series and check it out.

THIS SUNDAY AFTERNOON at 4:00-6:00

  • We have a CLASS 101 coming up on Sunday March 17th 4:00-6:00. This is a great class that will help you in your personal walk with Christ, sharing your faith, and moving past the guilt of the past, and learning how to connect with Christ everyday. Everyone should check this class out.

OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE
You don’t know what areas you really are gifted in until you try a few out. Try an area to see if it works for you.

  • Coffee & Refreshment Setup/Clean up team.
  • Welcome Team – Welcoming people as they arrive and giving directions.
  • Prayer Team – We need people to be able to call on for special prayer needs.
  • Worship Team –  Please help connect us with some additional worship leaders, musicians, and singers. We are working on building multiple teams.
  • Audio/Video Tech Team – We need help setting up our basic AV equipment and help as we move to a better format.
  • Children:  Anyone who works with minors goes through an application process, criminal background check and personal interview. The leadership at The Well has to know that person and observe them for at least 6 months. Even passing all these do not guarantee a place of serving in the Children’s ministry. We seek to protect every child are they were our own.

VISION

  • We want to be a church that Connects People to the Hope and Joy of Jesus.
  • We need God’s presence and power in our lives and to break through this darkness, so we are working on a ongoing Power Prayer Meeting! If you are interested in this, please let us know what evening and times work best for you.

We are BRINGERS! Bring a friend!

Blessings!
